1) 221g administrative processing in my opinion is very ridiculous process 2) There are no timelines and there is no way to check the processing time. I have researched all over the net and the responses from various people in similar situation are caught up in this black hole for an unpredictable amount of time. 3)There is no clarity on why they are putting on us on hold 4)Why do they approve H1B in the first place ...more »

The recognition & adoption of a standardized national illuminated color coded system for triaging MCI patients 24/7. Today different States & organizations use different triage cards and tapes for triaging patients. The one thing they all have in common is not the language or format of the triage cards but it is the color given to each priority. If a national color code standard is adopted then no State or Agency would ...more »
It appears to me after reading so many posts this forum, that it is not having much if any effect on the self serving bureaucrats of dealing with the US Government. The bottom line is the more complicated bureaucratic procedures, the more assure of a continued job, employment and rise in the ranks of bureaucrats and less service to the people they are supposed to serve, citizens and would be citizens.
I have gone through the harrowing experience while going to re validate my H1B visa around Mid August . All of my documentations were perfect. Although when I went to the counter the officer was ready with the pink slip right at the start of my interview and after scrutinizing my documents gave me 221g and asked me to visit the other counter where i was asked more questions on my past experience and whether I travelled ...more »
A lot of visa applications for stamping outside United States are being left in pending (Additional Administrative Processing) including mine or being denied. The primary reason for this is from my view the cases are undergoing verification for employer-employee relationships described in USCIS memorandum in 2009. However all these petitions are approved after 2009 or even in 2011, and inspite of that the Consulates are ...more »
My fire department is wanting a military heavy transport truck such as the HMMT to retrofit a compressed air foam system (CAFS) for homeland structure fire defense. The CAFS system has been proven to protect homes and rural structures from forest fires by covering the structures with a protective water based foam that is durable enough to withstand the heat and winds or the fires. The CAFS has been tested by the National ...more »

Canada and the US have recently tightned the border and therefore, implementing new rules that citizens of both countries are not aware of. I've been travelling back and forth (being a mere 30 minues from the US border) for my whole life. I then decided to do school in the States and unknowingly overstayed my visa by 5 months. I went home to Canada and came back through the border and wasn't let in. The officer thought ...more »

Have CAC Card readers installed in Airports that would allow Government & Military personnel to be identified easily and to possiblily reduce or eliminate their screening prior to boarding. Full screening for CAC card holders could be done on a random or sample basis to ensure that the process is still working. It also may be possible to adapt the philosophy of CAC Card ID to civilian flyers (corporate, frequent fliers, ...more »
